Why Paddle With OneLife SUP
We’ve been guiding guests onto Sun Moon Lake since 2013 — long before sunrise SUP became famous. Our founder, once a fitness coach in the city, came home to the lake he grew up on and built a small team that knows these waters better than anyone.
Every tour is led by a certified instructor trained in SUP coaching and water rescue, and every package already includes your board, paddle, life vest, insurance, and photography — no hidden extras.
You don’t need to swim, and you don’t need experience: with a land lesson first and step-by-step coaching on the lake, nearly every first-timer is up and gliding before the tour is over.
Good to Know
Meeting Point
Crescent Bay (月牙灣) parking lot. Search “魚人立槳 日月潭SUP月牙灣體驗中心” on Google Maps to drive straight to us. There are 20–30 free parking spaces on site. Nearest public restrooms: Xiangshan Visitor Center, about 3 minutes by car. We have changing tents on site, but no showers.
What to Wear
Quick-dry sportswear or swimwear — no cotton or denim, please, it gets heavy when wet. You’ll paddle barefoot, so bring sandals for the walk to shore. Pack a towel, dry clothes, sun protection, and drinking water. Limited free rentals (waterproof phone pouches, glasses straps) — reserve ahead.
Safety & Health
Life vests stay on for the entire tour, no exceptions. For safety, guests with heart conditions, asthma, high blood pressure, or who are pregnant are not able to join. The lake sits at 18–22°C year-round, so winter paddling is genuinely lovely — a wetsuit is recommended.
Your Photos
DSLR packages include a private cloud link with your photos, delivered within about 7 days.
Weather & Cancellation
- We paddle rain or shine — light rain doesn’t stop a good tour.
- Thunderstorms and typhoons are the exception: if either is forecast, we cancel in advance and offer a reschedule or full refund.
- If weather forces a stop after your tour has already begun and everyone is on the water, the tour is considered complete and isn’t eligible for a refund.
- Cancelling on the day of your tour for personal reasons is subject to a 100% cancellation fee.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can non-swimmers join?
Yes. Everyone wears a life vest for the entire tour, and your coach paddles close by at all times.
Is it hard to stand up?
Not at all. We start with a short lesson on land, then guide you step by step once you’re on the water.
Is there an age limit?
Guests aged 3 to 80 have paddled with us. Children aged 3–7 share a board with an adult.
Is there a weight limit?
Our boards comfortably support up to about 120–130 kg, and most boards can carry two people.
Can I bring my phone?
Yes, in a waterproof pouch (limited free rentals — reserve ahead). Your coach also takes photos for you, so you don’t have to worry about it.
Can my dog come?
Yes! Dogs join free, one per board, and we keep pet life vests in S/M/L on-site — just reserve ahead so we have the right size ready.
How do I get there without a car?
Take Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Bus 6670 to Shuishe, or ask us on LINE about coach pickup from nearby hotels for NT$300 per person.
